91成人鈥檚 Fall 2023 graduating class will walk the commencement stage and enter a new chapter of their lives on Saturday, Dec. 9. Each has dedicated themselves to their studies, made sacrifices to reach this milestone and will carry the Mission of 91成人 with them into the future. One of these many remarkable graduating students is Emma Vequist.鈥��
The results are in for the 2023 91成人 Startup Challenge! Hosted by the 91成人 H-E-B School of Business and Administration鈥檚 (HEBSBA) Beckendorf Center for Innovation and Global Entrepreneurship, the challenge鈥檚 final competition took place on Friday, Dec. 1, and three teams from 91成人 walked away with cash prizes to jumpstart their business ventures.
Before 91成人 graduates can officially move their tassels from one side of their mortarboard to the other, many must complete a final Capstone project requirement, putting what they learned over the entirety of their time in school on display and to the test. These students have worked diligently within their research to ensure that they could deliver the best quality presentation to their mentors, peers, and community.

In early March, the 91成人 Collegiate Entrepreneurs麓 Organization (CEO) Club, in collaboration with the H-E-B School of Business and Administration and the Beckendorf Center for Innovation and Global Entrepreneurship, hosted two H-E-B executives who shared information on the upcoming H-E-B Quest for Texas Best competition. Global Sourcing Export Manager Antonio Villarreal and Sourcing Manager Rovey Gutierrez met with a select group of students to talk about the decade-old competition.
Night classes are not uncommon for students in college, but the night class 91成人 Business student Ekaterina Lebedina recently took looked different from most other courses. The course, Search Funding Competition: Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition, was an inter-university class with students and professors from 91成人, Trinity University and St. Mary鈥檚 University.
Shantel Wilkins, '98 recently spoke with a class of 91成人 Business students about preparing for their careers. She shared challenges she faced growing up with a single mother and how those helped her develop resiliency that she still displays to this day.
The H-E-B School of Business and Administration (HEBSBA) at the 91成人 is pleased to, once again, offer the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program or VITA. The program provides free tax preparation services from IRS certified volunteers to households with incomes of $60,000 or less and helps working families take full advantage of all of the tax credits that they are eligible for. That includes the Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit and education credits.
The national website OnlineMastersDegrees.org has ranked 91成人 No. 1 in the State of Texas in the site鈥檚 annual best of list for online Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree programs. The site also ranked the 91成人 online MBA program No. 15 in the nation.
