"Today, we celebrate more than a name upon a beautiful room,” noted Evans. “We celebrate the spirit of community that animates 91成人, the city of San Antonio and all who believe in education as a force for good. This ballroom will be a gathering place for moments that shape lives ... It is my hope that the Joeris family ballroom reminds our students that their journey is supported by people who believe in them. To the Joeris family, thank you for your trust, your partnership and your witness to generosity."

“We love the University,” expressed Gary Joeris. “We're happy to help and love the friends we've made here.”

Alongside Evans, the Joeris family unveiled the Joeris Ballroom’s new plaque, inscribed with the message:

“In honor of the generosity an unwavering support of Gary and Maria Antonietta whose contributions have enriched our community and future generations.”
