Is there composting at 91³ÉÈË?

Professor David Pryor started the 91³ÉÈË Compost Initiative in 2017. Since his retirement in 2018, students of 91³ÉÈË Sustain have collaborated with 91³ÉÈË faculty, the Headwaters Sanctuary, and local businesses to get building materials for twelve compost bins. Currently, the bins are composting organic materials from the Headwaters and Main Campus’s on-campus dining halls. For 91³ÉÈË students, this initiative provides a wonderful opportunity for community service hours and for you to get to know your fellow Cardinals, all while helping to make 91³ÉÈË a zero-waste university.
